BDB Attorneys is a young and dynamic law firm which was founded by Bernice de Beer in 2011. Ms. de Beer was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2010 with an LLB degree which she obtained from North West University in 2009. A thriving passion for the law and our judicial system has resulted in BDB Attorneys being acknowledged for our client-centered approach, going above and beyond the ordinary call of duty to be efficient, responsive and accessible. We strive to ensure that each client’s individual or corporate needs are met with care and competence. Our Team

Ms. Bernice de Beer

Director and Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with right of appearance in the High Court. Bernice is responsible for managing our Ballito branch and takes care of our Civil, Criminal, Family, and Labour Court as well as Deceased Estates departments. Bernice has over 12 years of experience in practice and still enjoys learning every day.

In her spare time, Bernice enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She enjoys gardening and believes that daily meditation is key to keeping a sound mind and staying focused. The beach is the place to be during holidays and weekends at the bay.

Mr. Ivan Lautenbach

Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with right of appearance in the High Court. Ivan is responsible for running our Vereeniging branch and attends to our Civil, Family and Labour Law departments.

With over 12 years of experience, Ivan is your go to guy for sound and honest advice. Ivan’s favourite application is of course – the eviction application. With a great success rate in forfeiture claims, Ivan is also our divorce specialist. Ivan enjoys reading up on case law and keeping up to date with all recent changes to the law system

When Ivan is not working he enjoys a braai with friends or cooking up a storm.

Ms. Celina Lesole

Administrative Clerk. Celina ensures that our admin is up to date by ensuring that filing gets done on a daily basis. She is also responsible for ensuring that documents get issued and filed timeously. Celina further assists in our debt review department.

Celina is currently in her first year of Bachelor’s in education studies and passed her Afrikaans exam with distinction.

In her free time, Celina enjoys modeling and acting and has even appeared on Isidingo as an extra. Celina also enjoys spending time with her children as well as shopping.

Ms. Patrica Thotela

Reception and accounts. Petricia is also responsable for liasing with clients.

In her spare time, Patricia enjoys spending time with her family. Patricia also enjoys outdoor activities as well as baking and cooking.
